Angel Series
It was during a sad and dark time in Marietta's life that she had to reach deep within herself through prayer to find the hope, solace and inner peace she needed to emerge on the other side of that troubled time her hopeful and vibrant real self. From this experience came the Angel Series fine art oil paintings.
It was during this time that Marietta met and became a student of Myra Reichel, a Reiki master and teacher extraordinaire. During her second atonement with Myra, Marietta began seeing angels in her dreams and at the same time her dear friend J.D. Peterson, who lived across the country in California, began sending her numerous books on angels. Seeing the emerging pattern, Marietta began searching through as many books on angels as she could get her hands on and through this learning and research the Angel Series was born.
The most inspiring book she read was the "Book of Angels" by Sylvia Browne. So moved by the reading and insight she gained, Marietta contacted Sylvia and was given permission from the writer to to use her name and ideas in connection with her own work. Marietta researched and educated herself on the beliefs of various cultures and added some of those thoughts and beliefs to her work as well.
Original art in the Angel Series is oils on stretched canvas.
Prints are high resolution Giclee on canvas stretched over poplar hardwood frames.
Wrapped edges are printed in black on all four sides and fastened on the back so art can
be exhibited with or without an actual frame.
Note: these Giclee prints are not on paper. They are printed on fine art canvas just like the originals were painted on and then stretched over hardwood poplar frames. The prints are of the highest quality making it difficult to tell the print from the original.
