"Challenges Through Life"
The final healing arts therapy mural in a four mural series by Marietta Dantonio-Fryer that charted the course for a permanent healing arts therapy program in the New
Castle County, Delaware Correctional System
involving incarcerated youth.
"Challenges Through Life", the fourth mural created in 1998 by incarcerated youth in the Delaware correctional system depicts the childrens views of creating a
better life for those in the inner city.
In the city you have a great deal of trouble going on concerning crime, hatred and drugs. It brings unwanted stress into peoples lives and makes them want to
give up on themselves and everyone around them.
If you want to live a better life, all you have to do is look for it. Moving from the city to the country does not have to be done in order to start implementing change. It's all about setting realistic goals for yourself, such a getting a job, going to school and avoiding the people that could bring us back down.
You hold your future in your own hands and don't let anyone tell you differently!
