As part of the Art Walk in Colonial Beach, Viginia on May 11, 2012, Marietta Dantonio-Fryer will, for the first time, be exhibiting her new immersion into a series of fun and light-hearted paintings that feature an underwater theme.
Painting both on canvas as well as solid wood surfaces, Marietta has created a series of bold, colorful artwork that include dolphins and Koi fish. With close to 20 pieces completed and on display from May 11 through June 1, 2012, Ms. Dantonio-Fryer has opened a new chapter in her lifetime body of work.
The opening for the exhibit is scheduled for Friday May 11 from 6pm to 9pm with the exhibit on display through June 1st.
Marietta's work will be displayed at the Potomac Fisheries building located right on the waterfront in Colonial Beach located at 222 Taylor Street, right on the banks of the beautiful Potomac river.
Light refreshments and drinks will be served during the opening and all pieces in this series will be for sale.
For this series, Marietta has also decided to accept a limited number of commissionings to create one-of-a-kind custom pieces.
