The Featured Keynote Speaker At The 2010 Job Corps Art Festival

Inspiriring and motivating students, teachers and administrators alike, Professor Marietta Dantonio-Fryer gave an electrifying keynote speech on the final day of the 2010 Job Corps Art Festival held at Eastern University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Recalling adversities from her own life that she overcame and was made stronger by, Professor Dantonio-Fryer told the assembled audience that anything is possible if they set their minds to it. She spoke of her work as a professor of fine art at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania as well as her many community outreach projects done to help disadvantaged people around the world.

Speaking about the non-profit organization she founded called Totem Rhythms, Professor Dantonio-Fryer spoke about the work the group does to help Native American Indian tribes keep their culture and history alive.
After the conclusion of her speech, Professor Dantonio-Fryer was amazed to see the response from students and faculty alike. Some of the students were so moved by her talk that they immediately inquired as to how they may be able to get into her art program at Cheyney University themselves and faculty members were making plans to have her come to their Job Corps facilities in the near future.
