Wings of Love - a mural made by incarcerated women with AIDS

"Wings of Love"

"Wings of Love" was created under the direction of Professor Dantonio-Fryer and assembled is an 8 foot by 8 foot octagon shapen, wood framed mural.

The mural was made by women in the Baylor Correctional Center in New Castle, Delaware. Not only were these women in prison for various reasons but all were suffering from varying stages of AIDS. It is a painting about their trials,
the pain of their past and their hope for the future.

This project was a collaborative effort between Marietta Dantonio-Fryer, Survivors Art Foundation, Delaware Center for Justice and the Baylor Correctional Center.
